A UQ Circle
What is it

Not quite a book club.
More than a study group.

A UQ Circle is a small cohort of people—usually four to eight—who read Certain About Uncertainty together over six weeks and use it as a launchpad for real changes in how they think and decide.

Each session focuses on one core idea, one exercise, and one experiment to run before the next meeting. By the end, every member walks away with a personal practice for navigating an uncertain world—and a small group of people who get it.

§ 01 — The Curriculum

Six weeks, mapped.

Week01
The Uncertainty AuditIntroductions & Chapter 1
Focus Where uncertainty shows up in your life, and how you usually respond to it. Members share one uncertainty they're currently navigating and identify their default reaction pattern.
Week02
Anticipatory AwarenessPillar One
Exercise The Time Telescope. Members practice looking ten years forward and ten back, then identify three signals worth paying attention to between now and next meeting.
Week03
AdaptabilityPillar Two
Exercise The Backward-Forward Flip. Each member surfaces an assumption they've been holding and runs a small "what if I'm wrong" experiment before next week.
Week04
Learning AgilityPillar Three
Exercise Uncertainty Vectoring. Members map a current decision across uncertainty axes and choose a direction to commit to before the next session.
Week05
IntegrationBringing the Three Together
Discussion Where the pillars reinforce each other—and where they conflict. Members share what shifted for them and what hasn't yet.
Week06
CommitmentsThe 90-Day Experiment
Closing Ritual Each member commits to one uncertainty experiment they'll run over the next ninety days. The group agrees on a check-in cadence.
